The Supreme Courtwill hear Wednesday the petition filed by actor Priya Prakasha Varrier. The actor's plea seeks quashing of the FIR registered against the hit song 'Manikya Malaraya Poovi' from the movie 'Oru Adaar Love' in which she is seen winking at a co-star.
The FIR, filed in Telangana,had alleged thelyrics of the song were "offensive" and had "violated the religious sentiment of a particular community".
Varrier's petition was filed on Monday, with her lawyer urging the court to hear it urgently.
