AAP removes Kumar Vishwas as Rajasthan in-charge, says will contest assembly polls

Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party has removed Kumar Vishwas as party's Rajasthan unit in-charge. Deepak Bajpai will now take over Vishwas's office. Kumar Vishwas was appointed as Rajasthan unit's in-charge last year in May.
Vishwas's ties with AAP leadership has not been very cordial for the past one year. During many incidents, Vishwas has expressed dissent questioning party's leadership on a range of issues. Vishwas openly condemned Kejriwal's move to apologise to several political leaders in defamation cases.
Vishwas was recently snubbed by Kejriwal while deciding names for the Rajya Sabha from Delhi quota.
Meanwhile, the party announced its decision to contest the upcoming Rajasthan assembly elections. Party members alleged that Vishwas, reportedly, did not take much interest in affairs relating to Rajasthan assembly polls.
Senior AAP leader Ashutosh, at a press conference in New Delhi, shared that the party’s political affairs committee (PAC) met a couple of days ago to discuss the upcoming Rajasthan polls.
“The party decided to contest the Rajasthan Assembly elections with full strength.”

Ashutosh also noted that Kumar Vishwas was vested with the responsibility to look after party's affairs with respect to the Rajasthan assembly elections. "Due to some realities, he could not give as much time to it,” Ashutosh added.
