
India marked the 78th Independence Day on August 15 (Thursday), as millions recalled the historic midnight moment when the country gained its freedom from British rule in 1947.
To celebrate the day, many people shared their patriotic spirit on social media. Among them, one author went viral after he shared a soul-stirring video of the national anthem, hours before Independence Day.
In the viral video, the man is seen playing the two versions of the country's national anthem 'Jana Gana Mana' on harmonica as well as guitar.
Many netizens were left mesmerised by the video which also displayed the power music holds in uniting and inspiring a country.
''On the eve of our #IndependenceDay2024, here are two versions of our National Anthem -- One on the guitar, and the other on the harmonica. Dedicated to all those who defend us,'' wrote Arun Krishnan, as he posted the two videos.
The video shared by the author went viral and received more than 12,000 views along with numerous comments.
The netizens praised the artist and expressed their gratitude for the soulful performance. ''Excellent rendition in both. I also noted that you stood when playing. Hats off!'' wrote a user.
''Wow, I loved the harmonica version even more. You are blessed by MA Saraswati in more ways than one. Vande Mataram," commented another.

The Indians celebrate Independence Day with a lot of enthusiasm as people hoist national flags and decorate places to commemorate the day.
