Former Kingfisher boss Vijay Mallya was spotted at The Oval cricket stadium in London's Kennington on Friday where the final Test between Indian and England is underway.
Once famous for his mullet haircut and flamboyant lifestyle, Mallya was spotted just outside the stadium as he was making his way into the stadium in white trousers and black jacket.
Mallya has been fighting a case in the British court against his extradition to India for the past one year. India's Enforcement Directorate(ED) has sought an order to seize Mallya’s properties worth about Rs12,500 crore.
On September 3, a Mumbai Special Court had granted three weeks time to liquor baron Vijay Mallya to file his reply on the Enforcement Directorate's application, which sought to declare him a fugitive economic offender.
The Fugitive Economic Offenders Bill, 2018 - prescribes measures to deter fugitive economic offenders from evading prosecution by staying abroad - was passed in the Parliament in July.
