Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown is sure to miss the next few games and may be the entire season as he prepares for a surgery. Brown, who got injured in the Chiefs' first pre-season game, is set to undergo a sternoclavicular injury which affects one of the shoulder joints. He's scheduled for the procedure on Monday (Sep 16) in Vali, Colorado.
Chiefs coach Andy Reid is realistic about the WR's availability and said it could be 'months' before he returns.

"It's not going to be weeks. More like months," said Reid on Friday about Brown's potential return.
"Everybody's a little different, and this [injury], not a lot of these that we have information on, so we've just got to wait it out and see how long it takes. We'll see where that takes us in this process. But that's the information we have, and we're just going to have to hold tight on that," Reid added.
Brown also shared an emotional post on social media platform X but is confident that 'this too shall pass.'
"Disappointed, frustrated, and Sad was the first wave of emotions once I realized I would need surgery but that only lasted a day or so because Of my Faith in God," Brown wrote.
"Knowing that this to shall pass, no matter the great opportunity I had in front of me. It's not over and that's not the path God wanted for me and I'm perfectly fine with that now," headded.
The Chiefs are currently 1 for 1 after winning their opening game of the season against the Baltimore Ravens 27-20. They are, however, placed second on the AFC West table behind the Los Angeles Chargers who won their first game 22-10.
The Chiefs next play against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday (Sep 15).
