The skipper of the Bangalore franchise Virat Kohli has been fined for breachingIndian Premier League's code of conduct.

Kohlihas been fined INR 12 lakh after his team maintained a slow over-rateduring their match against Punjab in Mohalion Saturday.

Itwas Kohli's first offence of the season under the Indian Premier League's code of conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences.

In the match, Bangalore defeated Punjab by eight wickets to register their maiden win the ongoing season of IPL.

After winning the match, Virat Kohli said, "Most pleasing thing is coming for an interview at this time, and not immediately out of the field. Great feeling to get across the line."

Even after the win, Bangalore were not able to make any change in their place in the league standings as they continue to languish at the bottom of the table.

Bangalore will next face Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on April 15.
