Uttar Pradesh: Government introduces NCERT textbooks in madrasas

Yogi Adityanath-led government on Tuesday approved the introduction of National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) textbooks in the Madrasa Board.
NCERT books will be introduced in madrasas in Urdu, Hindi and English languages. According to reports, madrasa students will get better training and enhanced skill set with the help of NCERT books.

Reports also suggest that madrasas in Uttar Pradesh have been asked to follow the NCERT curriculum and introduce subjects like Science, Mathematics and Social Science.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, had previously stressed the importance of introducing modern education in madrasas.
