After ameteoric rise to fame, Indian rapper Hanumankind is set to add another shining feather to his cap as he's set to perform at the prestigious Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

The Kerala-based rapper became an overnight sensation this year after his song ''Big Dawgs'' went viral across social media platforms.

The 31-year-old rapper, whose real name is Sooraj Cherukat, will take the stage at Coachella in 2025, the new lineup has revealed. With this milestone, he will become the second Indian singer to perform at the festival after Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh. In 2024, the ''Lover'' singer made history as he became the first Indian singer ever to perform at the iconic event.

The music and art festival will take place at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California, across two three-day weekends in April 2025. The dates are as follows: April 11–13 and April 18–20.

In the two-weekend lineup, Hanumankind will be performing on Saturday. The 2025 edition of the festival will be headlined by Lady Gaga, who is making her return to the musical stage after a 2017 performance. Green Day will be making a debut at the festival. Post Malone and Travis Scott will also be performing.

Other notable performers revealed in the list that came much before the scheduled time are: Megan Thee Stallion, BLACKPINK's Lisa, FKA Twigs, Missy Elliott, Charli XCX, Lisa, Jennie, Zedd, GloRilla, Ben Böhmer, and Tyla.

The globally renowned Indian-origin record label Indo Warehouse of DJ-producer duo Kunal Merchant and Kahan will also be performing at Coachella 2025.

Who isHanumankind?

Kerala-born rapper Hanumankind became the talk of the global music scene after his song "Big Dawgs" went crazily viral, putting the country's growing hip-hop scene on the international level like no other.The music video hasover 165million views on YouTube.

Born in 1992 in Ponnani, a town in Malappuram, a northern district in the south Indian state of Kerala, to Malayali parents, Hanumankind spent his formative years of childhood in Texas. He earned a business degree and worked in knownfirms like Goldman. However, he soon realised that he didn't want to pursue it, and music has always been his real calling.

Pursuingrapping full-time, Hanumankindreleased his first single "Daily Dose" in 2019 and went on to release several songs.
