Diljit Dosanjh feels he didn't deserve to perform at Coachella

If gratitude were a person, it would be Diljit Dosanjh who deserves all the love and praise he’s been receiving for a while now. With his new film, Amar Singh Chamkila almost ready for its premiere, Diljit got talking On The Ranveer Show, as he spoke about working with Imtiaz Ali, performing at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and more.
In the latest episode of the famous Indian podcast, Diljit Dosanjh spoke about being grateful for getting all the accolades. He said that he wasn’t a “deserving candidate” at the Coachella and yet he got the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of performing in front of a global audience along with the likes of some of the biggest music stars.

He said, “Although I wasn't a deserving candidate. I feel so. It was God's will. I knew it (Coachella) was big and for the first time, someone from India was going to perform there. It was a huge deal.”
“I feel like I'm not that great a musician, but I end up getting good opportunities. I haven't learnt acting from anywhere, yet I'm working with Imtiaz Ali. I had never imagined I'd do a film with him. Maybe it happened because of Chamkila. He gave me that chance. Imtiaz Ali signing Diljit Dosanjh isn't necessary. At the Coachella festival, Diljit was part of the day 2 line-up of the first weekend. The other performersincluded stars like Blackpink, Charli XCX, Labrinth and Kid Laroi taking to the stage.

Diljit was all magic on the Coachella stage and stayed true to his roots, as he wore a traditional Punjabi attire for his performances, beltingout Punjabi hits and speaking to the audience in Punjabi and some sparingly broken English that he is never ashamed to flaunt. On the stage, he had said, "Now, it has been written in history. Punjabi aa gaye hun Coachella (Punjabis have reached Coachella). And those who don't understand my songs, catch the vibe.”
