At least nine people were injured in an acid attack at a cafe in Germany, according to media reports early Monday (July 1). The attacker was arrested by the policeand the motive of the attack was not yet clear. An investigation was launched.
North Korea on Monday fired two short-range ballistic missiles. According to the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), the first missile launch was detected early in the morning — at 5:05 am (2005 GMT) — and the second launch approximately ten minutes later.
In other news from around the world, arocket belonging to private Chinese firm Space Pioneer crashed into a hilly area in central China after malfunctioning and launching by itself on Sunday (Jun 30).
