Facebook and Twitter penalise US President Donald Trump on his 'fake' claims

By January 2018, Trump had used the word fake 404 times and by the end of 2019, he had made fake claims 15,313 times. That's 32 fake claims for each day spent at the White House.
And now, the US President is being pulled up for his fake claims by Facebook and Twitter.
The social media giants have finally woken up to the danger of fake news. They penalised Donald Trump. The president had claimed that children were 'almost immune' to the coronavirus.
This was during a phone interview to Fox News. The clip was posted on Trump's social media accounts. Facebook deleted it and Twitter went a step ahead and froze a Trump campaign page for retweeting it.
While Twitter has previously taken down the president's post, for Facebook this was a first.

Trump has long banked on social media for communication. Traditional media is all fake news, he would say. Now Twitter and Facebook are accusing Trump of the same.
The president was recently grilled by the host of Axios news.
Just when Trump tried to play the fake news card, his bluff was called.
