After Texas, shooting in Georgia high school kills one, wounds two
After the deadly shooting at a Texas high school on Friday, another shooting took place at a high school graduation ceremony in Clayton County of the United States' southeastern province Georgia on Friday night leaving one dead and two others wounded.
The shooting took place at a parking lot outside of the Clayton County Performing Arts Center located at 2530 Mt Zion Parkway in Jonesboro, near Mt Zion High School in Clayton County.
The incident followed a ceremony for graduates of the Perry Learning Center, which prepares students for careers as an alternative to traditional high schools.
According to the Clayton County Fire and Emergency Services, one adult female was killed after being shot multiple times. The others have been moved to a local hospital, reports said.
As per reports, an argument broke out in the parking lot which led to two women being shot - one in the leg and the other one multiple times in the chest.
The identification of the shooter is not yet revealed. The police are currently investigating the case.
This comes barely hours after when at least eight people were shot dead in Santa Fe High School in an early morning shootout in the southeastern Texas city of Santa Fe, about 50 kilometres away from Houston.
