During the second T20Iof the five-match seriesbetween hosts Pakistan and New Zealand, wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan attained a huge feat. The batterachieved the milestone of 3,000 T20I runs, becoming the second from his country to do so after white-ball captain Babar Azam. Thus, Shaheen Afridi lauded Rizwan for his latest heroics on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, and compared him to Sir Don Bradman -- one of the finest batters ever. However, Shaheen's comparisons with Bradman led to his hilarious trolling on social media platforms.
Shaheen wrote on X, "Cheers to Muhammad Rizwan - the Bradman of T20 cricket and Pakistan's SuperMan for hitting 3,000 T20I runs! Your impact has transformed the game and silenced the skeptics. Keep soaring, champion! You're an inspiration to many."
Shaheen's comments were absurd asRizwan incidentally has the lowest strike-rate among batters to have entered the 3K-run club in the format--127.42. This is marginally worse than his compatriot Babarwho has the second-worst strike-rate (129). Both the premier Pakistani batters have been among runs in the format but have often failed on the big stage andhave faced constant criticism for their low strike-rates.

At present, both Rizwan and Shaheen are part of Babar-led Pakistan's home T20Is versus a second-stringed New Zealand. After the series opener was washed out due to rain, Pakistan convincingly beat New Zealand in the second T20I by seven wickets before losing the following tie by the same margin as the Rawalpindi leg concluded. The action now moves to Lahore as the Gadaffi Stadium will host the final two games with the series evenly poised at 1-1.
