West Indies young pacer Alzzari Joseph made a dream debut in the Indian Premier League by recording the best bowling figures in the history of the tournament.
During Mumbai vs Hyderabad game, 22-year-old Joseph broke former Pakistani paceman Sohail Tanvir's 11-year-old record by claiming the figures of 6/12 in his 3.4 overs, which included one maiden over too.
Tanvir registered astonishing figures of 6 for 14 against MS Dhoni-led Chennai in the inaugural edition of the IPL in 2008.
His six wickets included players like David Warner, his maiden wicket, Vijay Shankar, Deepak Hooda, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Siddharth Kaul.
Despite registering a paltry score of 136 runs, Mumbai managed to defeat Hyderabad by 40 runs.
Led by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Hyderabad were all out for just 96 runs in 17.4 overs.
