'Enough of your verbal diarrhoea': Ravindra Jadeja lashes out at Sanjay Manjrekar

Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja, India's all-rounder lashed out at former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar asking him, "learn to respect people".

The 30-year-old Jadeja is currently a part of India's 15-member squad for the Cricket World Cup 2019, which is underway in England and Wales.

But he was not named in team's playing XI for a single match so far in the tournament.

However, Jadeja was in the headline for a stunning catch he took during India's World Cup match against England to dismiss opener, Jason Roy.

Recently, Manjrekar had called Jadeja a bits and pieces player. He said, "I am not a big fan of bits and pieces players which Jadeja is at this point of his career in 50-over cricket."

"In Test matches, he is a pure bowler. But in 50-over cricket, I would rather have a batsman and a spinner," Manjrekar had added.

The comments did not go well with Jadeja and he, in a Twitter post, said that he has played twice the number of matches than Manjrekar.

Jadeja has played a total of 151 ODIs and scored 2,035 runs and taken 174 wickets. On the other hand, Manjrekar played 74 one-day matches and scored 1,994 runs and took one wicket.

"Still i have played twice the number of matches you have played and i m still playing. Learn to respect ppl who have achieved.i have heard enough of your verbal diarrhoea. @sanjaymanjrekar," Jadeja tweeted.
