Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited announces the launch of ZEE5

In a first, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) has launched an app called Zee5 which will be a one-stop digital destination for all the entertainment galore. The Zee5 app addresses the entertainment demands of a new India that is increasingly digital savvy and globally connected, yet fundamentally rooted in its culture. With 'language' as the core proposition embodied in the entire content and user experience, Zee5 will cater to the tech savvy India without boundaries.

The content on Zee5 is available in 12 languages including English, Hindi, Bengali, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Odiya, Bhojpuri, Gujarati and Punjabi. The app is equipped with voice search, so the users will be able to find movies and shows easily. It comes packed with 1,00,000 hours of on-demand content, including exclusive originals, Indian and international movies and TV shows, music, and health and lifestyle videos across languages.

Zee5 also has an extensive live tv offering with 90+ popular live television channels. With all this content available in one place, Zee5 truly becomes the most comprehensive entertainment platform for language content in India. Zee5 comes with a 'freemium' pricing model with both free and paid premium content to cater to a mix of audiences. The viewers who opt for a subscription pack will get access to the entire library of content at a special launch offer price of Rs 99 per month instead of the actual monthly pack price of Rs 150.
