The resignation of NIA special court judge Ravinder Reddy, who delivered the verdict in Mecca Masjid blast case, has been rejected by the High Court of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Reddy has been asked to attend to his duties immediately, ANI reported sources as saying.

Nine people had died in the 2007 blast, which took place in Hyderabad.

10 people had been accused in the case, five of whom stood trial.

Right after the verdict, he had resigned.
