From 'Achchhey Din Aane Waley Hain' (good days are going to come), to 'Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar' (once again Modi government) to 'Ab Ki Baar 400 Paar' (this time, more than 400 seats).
A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with conviction won over the masses in 2014, continued the victory streak in 2019, but saw a fall in 2024.

Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA alliance, which was expected to hand the opposition INDIA bloc a crushing defeat, failed to even win a full majority.
Seeking to cross 400 seats, BJP won 240 this time, as per the data released by the Election Commission of India. A tally much lower than what the party registered in 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh came as the biggest shock for the saffron party as it saw a massive downfall from 62 seats out of 80 in Lok Sabha polls 2019 to 33 in 2024.

Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party (SP) took the country by surprise by leading the electoral contest in UP and bagging 37 seats in the general elections.
West Bengal
Despite the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s extensive campaigning in West Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress bagged 29 Lok Sabha seats.
BJP only secured 12 in the east Indian state.
The saffron party had attacked TMC over Sandeshkhali violence, corruption the state and indulging in appeasement politics but it fell flat.
Maharashtra
In Maharashtra, the BJP bagged only nine seats out of 48, witnessing a sharp decline from 23 seats in the year 2019.
