The bullet-ridden dead body of a 23-year-old Territorial-Army jawan,Irfan Ahmad Dar, was found in a remote village of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday morning.
A resident of Saazan village,Irfan wasposted at Guruz.He was in engineering regiment of the Territorial Army.
The army soldier was on a vacation. He went out ofhis home on Friday and did not return, reports said.
His body was found at Wuthmulla village located in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police are investigating the killing and whether terrorists were behind it, media reports said.
Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti Sayeed has condemned the killing of the soldier. The police will conduct an investigation into the cause of the death.

The police said that the officer was shot by terrorists five times in an orchard where his body was found. The incident took place in May 2017.
A Kashmiri from Kulgam district, Ummer was also on leave when his dead body was found.He was abducted when he was attending his sister's wedding ceremony and later found dead.
He had joined the Army last December and was posted with the 2nd Rajput Rifles.
