Lok Sabha elections 2024: Bollywood actor Govinda joins Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena

Bollywood actor Govinda on Thursday (March 28) joinedEknath Shinde's Shiv Sena and called it a blessing of God.
"I was not going to enter politics again but here I' am," the actor said after joining the Shiv Sena party.
"The clean aura of Shiv Senainspired me. I have always said that PM Modi is a very hard working person. We have seen the same level of progress here in Maharashtrain the last 2 years, as we have seen in the country in the last 10 years. We will focus on the beautification of the state and the growth of art and culture," further added the veteran actor.
Govinda is most likely to be fielded from Mumbai North West as he makes a comeback to politics after a long haitus.
Earlier in 2004, Govindacontested from Mumbai North Lok Sabha on a Congress ticket and defeated the senior BJP leader Ram Naik.
Later, he resigned from the party and took a break from politics.
