The San Diego Comic-Con is currently underway and each day is full of surprises and big reveals. On Saturday (July 27) during a DC panel at a public event, director Matt Reeves shared an exciting update about The Batman: Part II.
What Matt Reeves Has Said About The Batman: Part II?
DC's panel was majorly focused on Colin Farrell's spinoff series The Penguin, which is set to release later this year. However, while talking about Colin's character Penguin, director Matt Reeves ended up giving an update on The Batman: Part II.
Sharing an update on the sequel to Robert Pattinson‘s 2022 superhit movie, the director said that the shooting of the movie will begin next year, and Farrell's character will be part of that movie.
Talking about the same, Matt said that they will need Farrell's character in a "certain place" for that. The confirmation comes after a lot of theories have already suggested The Penguin's connection with Robert's The Batman - Part II.
Many details about the plot have not been revealed. However, the cast members have been confirmed.

The Batman - Part II is set to be released in theatres on October 2, 2026.
The Penguin Trailer
Starring Farrell, The Penguin is set in the universe of Matt Reeves’ The Batman and will see the rise of villain Oz Cobb and his rise in Gotham City. In the trailer, Oz is seen shooting and stabbing as he roams around the streets ofGotham.
The limited series stars Milioti as Sofia Falcone; Feliz as Penguin’s young driver Victor Aguilar; Michael Kelly as Falcone crime family boss Johnny Vitti; Shohreh Aghdashloo as Nadia Maroni; Deirdre O’Connell as Francis Cobb among other.
The eight-episode series is set to premiere on HBO on September 19.
