Millie Bobby Brown, the 20-year-old star of Stranger Things, is gearing up for her wedding to fiancé Jake Bongiovi with a unique twist – her co-star Matthew Modine will officiate the ceremony. Modine, who plays Dr. Martin Brenner on the hit Netflix series, revealed the exciting news during an interview with Access Online.

"I have one of those licenses to get people married, and Millie thought it'd be great, and then Jake said it would be a great idea," Modine shared during an interview with Access Online. "I wrote the wedding vows, and they loved what I wrote for them to join hands and become husband and wife."

Modine, who has been married for 44 years, expressed his joy at being able to join the couple in holy matrimony. He also mentioned that he had previously officiated another wedding during COVID-19, although he found the experience "weird."

Brown and Bongiovi's fairytale love story can leave anyone gushing. Brown once shared the story of how the son of rocker Jon Bon Jovi popped the big question. On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Brown revealed that Bongiovi proposed during a diving trip, a favourite activity for the couple.

Despite a mishap where Brown accidentally dropped the engagement ring underwater, the proposal was a success, and the couple has been officially engaged since April 2023.

On the work front, Brown was recently seen inDamsel as Princess Elodie. The actress also served as an executive producer on the project.

Brown will be next seen in The Electric State as Michelle. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the film is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Simon Stålenhag. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Chris Pratt, Ke Huy Quan, Stanley Tucci, Jason Alexander, Brian Cox, Jenny Slate, Giancarlo Esposito, Anthony Mackie and Billy Bob Thornton.
