England Playing XI: Ollie Robinson makes way for Mark Wood for Dharamsala Test; James Anderson retains place

England pacer Ollie Robinson has created an unwanted record of being hit for most runs in an over in first-class cricket. Robinson was hit for 43 runs in an over on Wednesday (June 26) during day four of the county match between Sussex Leicestershire.

Showing up for Sussex, Robinson bowled nine deliveries in the over which included three no-balls. He was hit for five sixes and three fours to go with a single by Leicertershire's Louis Kimber. Have a look at the video below:

The fifth legal ball of the over went for a four before another no-ball by Robinson which once again went for a six. The last ball of the over got Kimber only a single.

The batter who was batting at 72 off 56 balls before Robinson's over, ended up scoring his century and was at 109 off 65 balls by the time Robinson got over from the nightmare. These are the most runs given by a bowler in England's county cricket.

The most runs conceded in an over in first-class cricket is an unbelievable 77, scored during the 1989-90 season. The over, however, was eight-ball long instead of six balls being bowled in today's time.

It was Robert Vance of New Zealand who gave away these runs in a first-class cricket game between Wellington and Canterbury. Vance bowled 17 no-balls during the over.

Most recently, spinner Shoaib Bashir also gave away 38 runs in a single over during the ongoing season. Bashir equaled AJ Tudor's record who also had given away 38 runs in 1998 English county season.
