Volvo’s EX60 SUV is expected to debut most distinct design

Volvo's upcoming electric SUV, the EX60, is set to play a crucial role in the Swedish automaker's transition towards electrification. The new model is designed to be the electric counterpart to the XC60, a family SUV that has been the brand’s most popular vehicle.

At present, Volvo has only disclosed the name of the new SUV, keeping other details under wraps. However, it's expected that the EX60 will match the XC60 in terms of size. Despite this similarity in dimensions, the EX60's design is anticipated to incorporate elements from both the compact EX30 and the recently updated XC90 SUV, creating a distinctive yet familiar aesthetic that aligns with Volvo's evolving design language.

The EX60 will be built upon Volvo's SPA3 architecture, which is an extensively updated version of the SPA2 platform used in the flagship EX90 SUV. This new platform will be paired with the Volvo Cars Superset technology stack, a comprehensive system that manages the vehicle's various functions and operations. This technology, which has already been implemented in the EX90, shows Volvo's commitment to advanced, integrated vehicle systems.

Currently, in the Indian market, Volvo offers two electric models: the C40 Recharge and the XC40 Recharge. The EX60 will be part of the new EX series of electric SUVs, which has yet to be introduced in India.
