The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has overwhelmingly supported US President Joe Biden's proposal for a ceasefire to end the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza. In New York City, anti-Israel protesters raised slogans and lit flares outside an exhibit memorialising victims of the Nova festival massacre.
In Malawi, soldiers are searching mountainous forests after a plane carrying Vice President Saulos Chilima went missing.
Meanwhile, the jury in Hunter Biden's trial on federal gun charges has begun deliberations, marking the first criminal prosecution of a sitting US president's child.
