Russian athletes, Yulia Gushchina and Anna Nazarova, have been disqualified from the 2012 London Olympics after retesting of doping.
Gushchina was part of women's 4x400m relay team that won silver. She also competed in the 400 meters in London but was failed to reach the final.
But Russia was stripped of their medal in February 2017 after a retest following Antonia Krivoshapka's positive test.
Anna Nazarova, who was fifth in the long jump, was also found to have tested in positive.
The re-testing of samples from London and from the 2008 Beijing Games has led to more than 100 new cases of doping mostly in weightlifting and athletics.
Russia’s athletics federation is currently banned from the sport as is its Paralympic Committee and anti-doping organisation in the wake of widespread doping offences.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) said that the retested 584 samples from London and 49 of those have come up in positive with 21 coming from Russia only.
Whether Russia will be competing in 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea will be decided by next week after the International Olympic Committee meeting.
