Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, also known as MSD, turns a year older on Sunday (Jul 7). Currently in Mumbai for a grand wedding function of an Indian billionaire’s son, MS Dhoni cut his birthday cake with his wife Sakshi, with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan also present there.

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni continues to be a gigantic sporting figure in cricket since the great Sachin Tendulkar. With Dhoni enjoying an unparalleled fan following among the masses worldwide, he stands tall amongst the most followed superstars across streams in this country.
Having retired from international cricket four years ago, MS Dhoni, to date, is still the only captain to win three different ICC trophies, including two World Cups (ODI and T20) and the Champions Trophy. Besides, under his leadership in 2009, India became the ranked number one Test side for the first time in their history.
Though his list of achievements in the Indian colours is as huge as his persona on the field, Dhoni’s credentials for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL and now-defunct T20 Champions League speaks volumes of his testament as a leader.
On his 43rd birthday, let’s see what his former teammates and fans say about him.
Meanwhile, MS Dhoni is yet to take a call on his IPL future, with the decision expected to arrive any time ahead of the mega auction.
