However, on Friday Supreme Court refused to stay the release of the film while dismissing the plea.
The court dismissed the plea saying that movies don't influence the court's judgment.
The court was further reportedsaying it could not restrict the artistic freedom of filmmaker.
The decision was taken by the bench headed by Chief Justice of India, Dipak Misra, and Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul.
