Smriti Irani, who defeated Congress president Rahul Gandhi from Amethi Lok Sabha constituency on Sunday said that she will even go to Supreme Court to get death sentence to the killers of her aide and former village head of Barauli in Amethi district, Surendra Singh.
Singh was allegedly shot dead by two unidentified men in Uttar Pradesh's Amethi district on Saturday.
''I've taken an oath before Surendra Singh ji's family that one who fired and the one who ordered it, even if I have to go Supreme Court to get the culprits a death sentence, we will knock the doors of the court,'' she was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
According to reports, suspects have been detained.
