The National Human Rights Commission has issued notices to the Union Home Secretary and the Commissioner of Delhi Police after a biker met with an accident and died on the spot.
21-year old Abhishek Kumar was speeding his way back home from a wedding when he got stuck in a wire between two police barricades and got his throat slit.
The accident occurred late Wednesday night in Netaji Subhash Place, West Delhi.
An FIR was lodged while four police constables were suspended on charges of negligence.
Kumar's kin also alleged that no police personnel was present at the spot. They noted that the area was not well lit due to which Abhishek was not able to spot the wire.
