'I don't know,' says coach Mikel Arteta on 'WHEN' Arsenal will win Premier League title

'I don't know,' says coach Mikel Arteta on 'WHEN' Arsenal will win Premier League title

Arsenal remain enthusiastic and hungry for Premier League title, admits Arteta

Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta has asked the team to not be satisfied with the second-placed finish in the Premier League season on Sunday (May 19). Arsenal was beaten by two points at the hand of Manchester City who went on to win their record fourth consecutive PL title - a first in the league history.

Arsenal, who beat Everton to finish with 89 points, needed City to lose to West Ham but the eventual champions won their game 3-1 and finished the league at 91 - two points ahead of Arsenal. Arsenal's 89 points are third highest in the league history to finish without the title.

"Now it is time to have a break, think, reflect, and please keep pushing. Keep inspiring this team. Don't be satisfied because we want much more than that and we are going to get it," Arteta said after the game against Everton.

"If we do what we have to do, we're going to be closer and at the end we'll win it. When, I don't know. But if we keep knocking and being that close, in the end it will happen," he added.

"No one has to explain what the level is because I was there four years every day and I know what we have to do if we are going to reach there. Not only for one season, but for the rest, but we are on the right path, the right journey and to see the evolution so quickly happening, I haven't seen it before," Arteta said of champions City where he served as a coach under manager Pep Guardiola for four years.

"So, we're on the right trajectory and now we need really to pull the teeth and bite into it because we really want more," he further added.
