England's Jarrod Bowen defended England's lacklustre start to Euro 2024 on Saturday (June 22) after two underwhelming performances so far in the tournament.
Gareth Southgate's side have one foot in the knockout stage as they top Group C with four points.

However, a lack of fluidity in their 1-1 draw with Denmark on Thursday (June 20) and an unwillingness to press had England fans booing them off the pitch.
West Ham's Bowen was keen to impress that the perceived slow start to the tournament is down to the high standards they have already set and that 4 points is a good return at this stage of the tournament.
''No, listen, I get it as well (on criticism of England's performance in last game) You know, because you want to win the games and you want to be in the best position possible. But, you know, sometimes it's it's not as easy as that. And it's, you know, the support here is...like a like I said before, it's my first tournament. So it's my first time seeing, you know, England at a major tournament with the fans and the following that it is. You know for me it's, you know, one of the best. And yes, we're disappointed that we haven't won the game," Bowen said.
