Trust Priyanka Chopra to do the unthinkable, always!

Newlyweds Priyanka and husband Nick Jonas were spotted yesterday at an official launch of an app in New Delhi, just a day after their glitzy reception party. The reception also saw Indian PM Narendra Modi who came to wish the couple. See pictures of them from their wedding.

After she launched the app in India, Priyanka sat down in an exclusive chat with Zee Business and spoke about her future plans, commitment to work that she shares with Nick, how she hates stereotypes and obviously her honeymoon plans.

The actress spoke about why her reception in Delhi and the launch coincided, “My priorities are simple and clear. I had made a commitment to Bumble to come to India in December, even before I decided to get married” and added, “It’s something I believe in. Nick and I both, our work has been very important to us all our lives. Our work has been something that has been a solid foundation for both of us. We understand that we can prioritise things.”

Priyanka has been vocal about the need for women empowerment worldwide. She calls the app something that would help women in India decide and choose a partner for themselves. She said, “‘I feel like the modern Indian woman today wants to have the choices of her future in her own hands. We have been told for a long time how our lives should be but I feel the woman now says ‘yes that's how my life should be, but this is also what I want’.”

The feminist then said she hates stereotypes.

“I hate being put in stereotypes, people being put in them. Stereotypes are lazy. You are not curious, you’re lazy to get to know something different,” she said.

“In the last decade, look at the number of women that are the faces on a poster. So many women like Kangana, Vidya, Deepika, Katrina, Alia, Anushka; I can name so many women who have been a part of the brigade that brings change in the entertainment business and have brought finances. So much money has come in. I love that change.”

As for when will honeymoon happen for the two, she replied, “We will take a honeymoon next year, next month or something.”
