The late actor who breathed his last on April 29 at the age of 53 was laid to rest in Mumbai. Also, there is one project that is still in the works which stars Irrfan Khan -- his last to the world of cinema. While many thought ‘Angrezi Medium’ was his last project starring Kareena Kapoor, Deepak Dobriyal, Pankaj Tripathi and Radhika but there is hope.
He has an unreleased international project titled ‘Mantra- Song of Scorpions’ that is about a young woman-singer in the desert of Rajasthan. She sings and heals people. One day when she realises that her life has been poisoned by the man in her life, she then has to go on a kind of mystical journey to find a song that will heal her.
The lead role is essayed by renowned Iranian actress, Golshifteh Farahani who was last seen in the Chris Hemsworth starrer ‘Extraction’. The film also has Waheeda Rehman who appears in a brief but important role.
The 2017 film is yet to release and we’re sure none of his fans can wait to see him, if only for the last time, in a new role.
