Brad Pitt's children continue to drop his name, and the most recent addition is Vivienne. More than a month after taking a legal step to remove 'Pitt', she has taken out a newspaper ad to announce that she no longer associates herself with her superstar dad.

Taking a new step to drop her father's name, Vivienne has posted a add on a newspaper to officially drop Pitt from his name. The petition was published in the Los Angeles Daily Journal once a week for four consecutive weeks, from July 24 to August 14, per court docs, as per Page Six. In court docs, Vivienne listed personal reasons behind the name change.

The notice also mentioned that anyone who wants to oppose can file a written objection before the final hearing, which is on Nov 2. For the unversed, according to California law, a person has to run a public ad for a legal name change. Before Vivienne, Zahara and brother Maddox also put out ads in the Los Angeles Daily Journal as part of their name change process.

Vivienne is the fourth of Pitt and Jolie's six children to take such a step. She had already dropped 'Pitt' publicly in 2024 when she was credited as "Vivienne Jolie" in the Playbill for Broadway's The Outsiders, which she co-produced with her mother.

Her siblings Shiloh, Zahara and Maddox have also filed legal petitions to drop their father's name. Pitt and Jolieare parents of six children: Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, Zahara, 21, Shiloh, 20, and 18-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

This ad comes after Brad Pitt, in an interview, talked about having dark thoughts amid ‘family stuff’. Speaking to Esquire, the actor revealed that he is no longer sober, and admitted to having experienced suicidal thoughts.

Sharing that there was “one little period” of his life when he was having suicidal thoughts.

“In that one little period, I just thought—I just couldn’t—just didn’t see a way out,” the F1 star explained. “The pain was so oppressive that—I wasn’t going to act on this, but I could feel—I could feel the cold steel of the bullet in my head, and it felt like relief.”

He continued, “I thought, Oh, okay, now I understand—I understand suicide, in the sense that it’s just relief. It’s just looking for relief from the pain. But I also think we have incredible survival instincts. And for me, that immediately kicked in, but it was just . . .” Read the full story.
