Trump begins digging deeper to choose his possible 2024 running mate. Who are in fray?

Donald Trump is confident about winning the race to White HousethisNovember despite his conviction in hush money trial and a number of legal challenges for the former US president. But now it has emerged that the Trump campaign has begun vetting vice presidential contenders for the former president.
According to a report in the New York post, Senators Marco Rubio,JD Vance and Tim Scott have all recently exchanged several vetting documents with Trump’s campaign.
Similarly, Representatives Byron Donalds, Elise Stefanik, Republican North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum and former Trump administration Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson's credentials too are being vetted.
The source cited by the New York Post added that the vetting process has been in the works for the past month.
Earlier, the Associated Press reported that the paperwork process for potential running mates for Donald Trump had begun.

But now details have emerged about Trump's potential running mates.
“Anyone claiming to know who or when President Trump will choose his VP is lying, unless the person is named Donald J Trump,” Trump campaign spokesman Brian Hughes said in a statement.

Earlier in May, Donald Trump suggested in an interview with News12 that his final decision on a running mate would come “probably not too much before” the start of the Republican National Convention, where he will be formally named the GOP nominee.
Currently, Donald Trump is the presumptive US presidential nominee. The convention runs from July 15 to 18 and mostly nominees for vice president are confirmed on the second last night of the event.
“We have so many,” Trump told the outlet when asked to name his top three choices. "I don’t want to do that, we have so many."
“We have many people who would do a fantastic job,” he added.
