The boil in West Asia has pushed the region to a new melting point after Israel launched pre-emptive strikes this morning in Lebanon to purportedly prevent an attack by Hezbollah.A massive cocaine bust in the Caribbean was on top of the news cycle across the Atlantic. Closer to India, a BNP leader has called for the revocation of all Delhi-Dhaka agreements signed under deposed former PM Sheikh Hasina during the last 15 years.

The Israeli military on Sunday (Aug 25) launched pre-emptive strikes in Lebanon to prevent large-scale strikes from the terror outfit, Hezbollah. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF)said they had detected preparations by Iran-backed Hezbollah to launch rockets and missiles.
