
Australian captain Aaron Finch said that the team is not thinking about entering the semi-final of Cricket World Cup 2019.
Defending champions Australia reached atop of 10-team points table after defeatingBangladesh by 48 runs on Thursday at Trent Bridge.
Opener David Warner scored a century inspire Australia towards victory.
Australia aresteadily inching closer towards the semi-finals with 10 points gained in six games they have played so far.
"Not yet thinking about semis. Hopefully, we will secure a place in the top four," said Finch.
The five-time world champions have three games in hand.
"We have guys who have World Cup experience. Having good partnerships with bat and ball is important," Finch said.
During the match against Bangladesh, Australia were uncharacteristically sloppy in the field and the captain expressed his disappointment.
"It was disappointing actually. We always pride ourselves on our fielding and we were quite sloppy despite the wet conditions at the beginning. No excuses there," Finch said.
