Squash player Joshna Chinappa crashed out of the ongoing 2018 Commonwealth Games on Saturday.

Chinappa slumped to straight-games defeat against New Zealand's Joelle King in the quarter-final of the women's singles squash event.

 The World No. 14, failed to capitalize on her good start in the Games and slumped to a 5-11, 6-11, 9-11 defeat at the hands of fourth-ranked Joelle.

The clash lasted a little over half-an-hour.

Earlier in the day, India's Dipika Pallikal gave a walkover to Samantha Cornett of Canada in the quarter-finals of the women's squash classic plate.

However, the reason behind Pallikal's decision is still unclear while her opponent Cornett will now lock horns with Australia's Tamika Saxby in the last-four.
