Residents of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) frequently protest against the Pakistan government and the army's atrocities.
The people also protest against the regular cross-border firing.
Another PoK activist Mir Afzal Suleriahad said earlier that the locals in the area are being used as human shields. He said that the army uses their houses to fire gunshots and mortar shells across the border. Consequently, the counter firing from the other side is targetted on these houses, resulting in heavy casualty.
