Pakistan extends ban on terror groups listed by UN

After UN released a list of banned terrorist organisations, Pakistan authorities decided to extend the ban in the country.
Pakistan's President Mamnoon Hussain amended the constitution to include organizations banned by the United Nations as a terrorist organization in the country.
Pakistan's law ministry issued the ordinance which added the article in the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997 as an ordinance since the parliament wasn't in session.
A UN team had visited Pakistan last month to assess progress made by Pakistan on the effect of sanctions on terror organizations which included Hafiz Saeed-led Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) andLashkar-e-Taiba(LeT), Falah-i-Insaniyat Foundation (FIF),Harkat-ul Mujahideen among others.
The UN list includes a list 27 terror organizations.
Additionally, Pakistan's Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) issued a notification saying that companies should not donate cash to the entities and individuals listed under the UNSC list.'
