In the latest update, Garg said that the fire was under control and there was nothing to worry about. "There are 40 fire tenders at the spot, along with 170-175 officials. There is no casualty in the incident," he said.

Praveen Khandelwal, the newly elected Bharatiya Janata Party (MP) slammed Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and his party Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) fornegligence.

Khandelwal said, "We keep saying that for the last 10 years, the Delhi govt and Arvind Kejriwal did not pay attention to this. Nothing has been done regarding dangling electricity wires...most of the fires happen due to such dangling wires."

"There should be a fire station in Chandni Chowk. BSES and the Delhi govt must give compensation. Till now no Delhi Minister has reached or taken stock of the situation there," he added.
