The Congress-JD(S) led coalition government in Karnataka is undergoing tussle in allocating portfolios to its ministers.
The ministers of the two parties held a three-hour meeting at Ghulam Nabi Azad's residence in New Delhi on Monday.
A media report quoted a JD(S) source saying that the Congress was trying to take over all key portfolios and was leaving behind ministries like animal husbandry, labour, fisheries, youth services, women and child welfare for the JD(S).
The report also said that the Finance ministry is a major bone of contention between the two parties.
Chief Minister Kumaraswamy has assured that the issue will be resolved after Rahul Gandhi returns from abroad.

Kumaraswamy had earlier said on Sunday that he was at the mercy of the Congress as he did not get the required mandate. He added that he was not under the pressure of the 6.5 crore people of the state.
