''Indira Gandhi fought for secularism, against those who wanted to divide society on religion and caste,'' she added.

Speaking on the occasion, former president Pranab Mukherjee said that Indira can never be erased from the pages of history.

Over 200 archived images fromIndira Gandhi's life will be available for public viewing at theIndira GandhiMemorial Trust from November 21.Titled 'Indira: A Life of Courage', the exclusive photographic exhibition was inaugurated to commemorate the birth centenary of former the former prime minister.

Earlier in the day, several leaders including Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi,former prime minister Manmohan Singh and Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid their respects to Indira Gandhi.
