
Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) on Sunday successfully flight-tested Quick Reaction Surface to Air Missile (QRSAM) air defence system at Balasore flight test range.
The Missile was test-fired from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur in the sea,about 15 kms from here.
Developed by the DRDO, the missile which has a capability of engaging multiple targets was test-fired from the launch complex 3 of the ITR at about 1105 hours.
The all-weather and all-terrain missile could be mounted on a truck and stored in a canister and is equipped with electronic countermeasures against jamming by aircraft radars.
The last trial of the missile was carried out at the ITR on February 26, 2019.
