Rohit Shekhar Tiwari, son of late former Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand CM ND Tiwari, was brought dead to Delhi's Max Saket hospital on Tuesday, news agency ANI reported quoting DCP South Delhi Vijay Kumar.

"We received an emergency call from the residence of Rohit Shekhar Tiwari at 04:41 pm this afternoon. An ambulance brought him to Max Hospital, Saket, where he was declared 'brought dead` at the hospital emergency. As per the established procedure, we have informed the authorities. We express condolences at the passing away of Mr Tiwari," Max Hospital said in a statement.

"His death is natural, I have no suspicion but I will reveal later what circumstances led to his death," Rohit's mother Ujjala Tiwari told reporters.

Rohit used to reside in his Delhi's Defence Colony home, from where he was reportedly brought to the hospital on Tuesday.

Rohit Shekhar Tiwari was the biological son of ND Tiwari and Ujjwala Sharma, who Tiwari married in 2014.

He fought a court case to prove himself as the son of late Congress leader ND Tiwari. The veteran politician had accepted Rohit as his son in 2016 after a long legal battle which had even reached the Supreme Court before reconciliation.

In January 2017, Rohit Shekhar had joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
