Jennifer Lawrence expecting second child with husband Cooke Maroney

Baby no 2 is on the way! Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence is expecting her second child with husband Cooke Maroney. 

A rep for Lawrence has confirmed the news to Vogue on Sunday (Oct 20). The confirmation comes after Lawrence was spotted in Los Angeles on Friday night as she stepped out for dinner, showing off her baby bump.

Lawrence is already a mom of a two-year-old son Cy, whom she shares with her husband Maroney. The couple have been married since 2019. 

Jennifer and Maroney's second baby news comes after a source told US Weekly that they are planning to expand their family. 

An insider said in July 2023, “At first they weren’t sure if they wanted another one because it’s so much work, but they’re obsessed with Cy and love showing off videos to their friends and family,” the source adds. “They’ve started warming up to the possibility of a second.”

Lawrence and Maroney have kept their personal life away from the spotlight and have refrained from sharing any details about their lives and a kid. However, in 2022, the Hunger Games actress talked about experiencing motherhood. 

Talking about the birth of her son, she told Vogue that the birth of her son ''felt like my whole life had started over.''

She added, ''I just stared. I was just so in love. I also fell in love with babies everywhere. Newborns are just so amazing.''

On the work front, the actress is currently busy promoting her new documentary Zurawski v Texas and its premiere. 

The doc is about women, who sues Texas after the state's strict anti-abortion laws almost cost them their lives. 

Directed by Maisie Crow and Abbie Perrault, and executive produced by Jennifer, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Chelsea Clinton, the doc will be released in New York, Los Angeles and Texas on October 25.
