Deepika Padukone is 'not surprised' that ex Ranbir Kapoor gave her wedding reception a miss
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone hosted a big bash for their friends in Bollywood which Ranbir Kapoor gave a miss.
Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor are examples of how exes can remain friends post break up. The couple who dated almost at the beginning of their respective careers remained amicable post break up and even starred in two films together.
Ranbir is currently dating Alia, who also shares a great bond with Deepika. So, a lot of fans had expected Ranbir and Alia to attend Deepika and Ranveer Singh's wedding reception in Mumbai earlier this month. Their absence naturally raised a few eyebrows.
Now, during an interview for a chat show, Deepika stated that Ranbir's absence did not surprise her at all. "We’ve not spoken. I mean, we spoke before the reception but we have not spoken after. But, that’s him. I’m not surprised at all. But, that’s the relationship we share and that’s the beauty of that relationship; so much is said without saying much at all".
Reports also suggest that Ranbir and Alia were busy with a night schedule of 'Brahmastra' on the night that DeepVeer hosted a bash for their colleagues and friends in Bollywood, which is perhaps why the couple gave the party a miss.
