'Celebs will not help you...' Ricky Kej on lesson learnt from US election and Harris's defeat

Donald Trump emerged victorious in the 2024 presidential election, defeating Democrat Kamala Harris. Since the election results have come out, a lot of reactions from the netizens, and celebrities from across the globe are coming in. The most recent one to react is Grammy award winner Ricky Kej.

Kej, who is an Indian music composer, shared his reaction to Trump's win as he went on to take an indirect dig at Harris and the strong support she got from a bunch of A-listers in Hollywood.

Reacting to the results, the music composer said that just "lining up" celebs won't help.

During a month-long US presidential campaign, celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Aniston, and Cardi B among others publicly endorsed the Democratic nominee, garnering major public attention.

Pop star Beyonce endorsed Kamala at her rally in Houston. After her speech, the pop star introduced Harris as "the next president of the United States.''

Four years after Trump was defeated in the 2020 election, he claimed victory again after a tight contest with Democratic challenger Kamala Harris.

Trump has secured his place as the 47th US president with a clear mandate of 277 electoral votes. He has won big states such as Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada and Arizona.
