The Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction saw banks being broken for multiple Indian players, with some of them being sold for the highest money ever in the auction history. Here's the list of most expensive players sold in the mega auction on Sunday (Nov. 24):

PBK buys Shreyas Iyer for record sum

India batter Shreyas Iyer broke the bidding records at the IPL mega auction on Sunday (Nov. 24) by being sold for INR 26.75 crore ($3.16 million) to the Punjab Kings. Iyer broke the record of Arshdeep Singh, who was sold just moments before for INR 18 crore while being retained by the Punjab Kings using the Right-to-Match (RTM) card. He is also so far the most expensive player sold in the IPL.

Iyer played for title winners Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the last season and was released ahead of the mega auction.

LSG spends INR 27 crore for Rishabh Pant

India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has become the most expensive player to be sold in the Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction after being sold for INR 27 ($3.2 million) crore to the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

With a bid of INR 20.75 crore, the Delhi Capitals were asked if they'd like to retain Pant; they said yes before LSG increased the price to INR 27 crore, after which DC backed out.
