PBK buys Shreyas Iyer for record sum
India batter Shreyas Iyer broke the bidding records at the IPL mega auction on Sunday (Nov. 24) by being sold for INR 26.75 crore ($3.16 million) to the Punjab Kings. Iyer broke the record of Arshdeep Singh, who was sold just moments before for INR 18 crore while being retained by the Punjab Kings using the Right-to-Match (RTM) card.
